# How to Download
It is super easy to try out HypeSquad. Simply visit HypeSquad Steam Store page and click HypeSquad Demo Download button. You don’t need any other process, so join right in! (You can also visit the Official Website and get an access code to register it on Steam.)
# Tutorial
Check your region setting and let’s get started! The tutorial begins and guides you through basic controls.
You can find several missions on your upper right. Follow the steps, and you will complete the tutorial efficiently. Learn how to move, equip weapons and upgrade them. The character can even ‘
parkour’ - see how fluid she is!
At the Weapons Training field, you can look through the various weapons of HypeSquad and acquire them. In HypeSquad, there are two slots for weapon equipment. Build your combination and create your stylish battle. Carrying two different types of weapons in range, attack type, and more, will bring you a unique experience in the game.
There are 13 different weapons and abilities in HypeSqud. Try them all in Training Ground and find the one that suits you best.
If you acquire a weapon you already carry, its level will be upgraded and stronger. Check out the control keys for movement and battle. Let’s dive into Cagliostro!
#Character
Before starting a match, don’t forget to pick your character. Kaija the Clown caught my eye.
Charming characters are waiting for you – meet them up and choose with whom you’ll enjoy HypeSquad.
#Conquest Mode
First, I tried out Conquest Mode. Up to 60 players can join a game. In 3-member Squad mode, 20 squads will fight up to hold a base and survive. The squad that survives throughout three rounds and a final round with a base wins!
In Prep Point, an Area Selection Screen shows which area you will start the game. Don’t forget to remember where Core Supply Zones are and most importantly, say hi to your squad!
Jumping into Cagliostro
Find Supply Crates to acquire and upgrade your weapons. You can exchange your Hype Points with various items at Vending Machines. There are some valuable consumable items and growth factors that you can choose from. Make your character more robust, faster, and powerful!
I ran toward a base with my squads and encountered another group of players. Raging and smashing my Hyper Axe ended up with a successful defense. The close-quarters combat gave me an impressive hit impact.
Luckily enough, I acquired a Hoverboard-like vehicle while moving to the next base. Vehicles are dotted on the ground, so pick them up when you see them. It’s much faster than running.
The second base of my choice was mobile – it moved like an elevator when activated. There are many objects in Cagliostro that allow you and your squad with more strategic gameplay.
Preparing for the final round! The ultimate skill is ready, and it’s now the time for the Best Squad.
Headsman’s Call! Getting rid of enemy squads one by one. When killed, the players drop their carrying items on the ground. Upgrade your weapons if possible, and stack up some consumable items for the last battle.
I quickly outran other squads and ran into the last base. We decided to secure it in advance and meet the other squads. Keep your feet out of our base y’all!
Smash!
The first game ended with a fierce victory. Swinging a big axe was so stressing out!
# Survival Mode
Next, I tried the survival mode. It was a little worrying since I felt a bit lonely - it was only possible to proceed as a solo at this round of tests. But I also had confidence as a (former) champion squad member.
In survival mode, the person who survives until the end avoiding Gray Field becomes the winner. It's Battle Royale. I entered the game with a nervous heart. The weapon I chose this time is Harvester, a huge scythe.
Harvester was agile, lightweight, and sharp compared to Hyper Axe. Can't believe how various actions and hit impacts can be when playing the same game and the same character!
Enemies fell one by one on my deadly scythe.
Next target spotted! After easily getting two kill scores, I used HP Pack for recovery and safely entered the Gray Field.
The circle marked by a solid white line on the map on the top left is the safe zone. You should always be careful in survival mode – The safe zone shrinks over time from outside the map. If you fail to enter the zone, you might get tremendous damage.
Just as I was about to catch my breath near the base, an enemy approached in the blink of an eye.
I did my best, really, but failed to survive.
# Power vs. Speed, Attack vs. Defense – What’s your Battle type?
You can uniquely combine characters, weapons, and abilities as you like in HypeSquad. It's a fast-paced game with a time limit. It'd be great to enjoy a game or two with friends.
