Netmarble’s action RPG ‘Solo Leveling:ARISE’ has received an update. The highlight of this update is ‘Episode 2.0: Baran, the Demon King’.

Solo Leveling:ARISE’s latest update introduces various new features and in-game improvements, including a new episode, two new hunters, and a new shadow.

Additionally, the max level for Sung Jinwoo and the maximum tier for Activity Funds have been expanded.

A showdown with the Demon King 

for the conquest of the Demons’ castle

Sung Jinwoo, an S-Rank Hunter, reenters the Demons' Castle Dungeon to complete his conquest.

While leading his Army of Shadows through the dungeon, he encounters the High Demon noble Esil Radiru. With her guidance, they ascend to the top floor together.

Baran, the Demon King on the 100th floor of the Demons' Castle  

The newly added story in ‘Solo Leveling:ARISE’ consists of two chapters: Chapter 19 and Chapter 20.

In Chapter 19, players can explore the behind story of Esil, who accompanied Sung Jinwoo in the webtoon, and witness how she begins to develop feelings for him.

Chapter 20’s main story and sub story are titled ‘Life and Death’ and ‘Reversal of Choice’ respectively, and this chapter culminates in a showdown with Baran, the Demon King.

New SSR Hunters and Hunter Exclusive Weapons

The newly added hunters are Harper and Charlotte, two original characters.

Both are ‘Dark Element’ hunters, with Harper being a tank and Charlotte a mage.

Dark Element Tank Harper

Harper uses a large hammer for melee attacks. When Harper uses her Basic Skills, ‘The Tenderizer!’, she quickly smashes her hammer down. Her special skills include ‘Harper's Mjölnir’, where she jumps and throws her hammer, and ‘Harper's Thunder’, where she jumps towards enemies and  inflicts damage with a hammer. Her exclusive weapon is called ‘Mischievous’.

Dark Element Mage Charlotte

Charlotte, depicted with a doll in her arms in her illustration, uses this doll as her weapon. Her basic skill, Isla Dance, provokes and attacks nearby targets by tossing her Isla doll. And her special skills also involve throwing explosive dolls to damage enemies. Her exclusive weapon is named ’Prankster’.

Though Charlotte may appear to be calm, she is actually more like a little rascal inside.

Skins for Harper and Charlotte have also been added.

Sung Jinwoo reaches Level 90!

As Sung Jinwoo defeats countless demons during his journey to conquer the Demons’ Castle and challenge Baran, the Demon King, his level has increased significantly. 

In ‘Solo Leveling:ARISE’, Sung Jinwoo’s max level has been expanded from 85 to 90, and rewards corresponding to this level have been added.

Additionally, the level cap for hunters has been expanded and the maximum tier for Activity Funds has been raised to 43, and the maximum gate difficulty has been expanded from 35 to 38.

‘Bigrock’

A new shadow has also joined the  game. The original shadow ‘Bigrock’ possesses the ability to increase the basic skill damage of the entire team. Bigrock’s ability will be very valuable when forming a party.

Instance Dungeons and Encore Missions

Let’s take a look at the major improvements made to the game. This includes a revamp for Instance Dungeons and Encore Missions systems.

Now, Instance Dungeons and Encore Missions feature two designated bosses that rotate every Thursday at 9 AM.

Additionally, content has been streamlined to allow for more varied use of Sung Jinwoo’s skills and weapons.

Guild Boss

The latest update also brings new functions to the guild system.

First, the ‘Guild skill’ has been introduced, providing various stat bonuses to guild members.

The guild master manages guild skills, which can be enhanced using guild points earned as the guild level increases.

Guild Minigame: Stack Tank!

For guild bosses, a Repeat Challenge for practice has been added.

Although the score or the number of  Rage Count during practice does not affect the rewards, it can be used to explore strategies for the next challenge.

Additionally, players can now enjoy the Stack Tank!, which was available as the 100-Day anniversary minigame as a guild minigame.

Aside from the aforementioned details, this update includes a lot more  adjustments to content.

The Battlefield of Time has started a new season, with the number of bosses increasing to five, and the Power of Destruction has expanded the Solo Challenge reward tier to 25 levels.
