With a new Hunter, expanded growth systems, and fresh content, let’s take a closer look at what has arrived this month.

Lennart Niermann

Responsibility of the strong.

A powerful new hunter joins the roster: Lennart Niermann. As the guild master of Richter Guild, Germany’s largest guild, Lennart is widely recognized as one of the top S-Rank hunters. In the original story, Lennart first appears at the International Guild Conference in the United States, where Sung Jinwoo is also invited. Soon after, he visits Korea and stops by the Ahjin Guild office. During this visit, a major crisis unfolds. 

Lennart shows his resolve by standing his ground, displaying the courage to face death without hesitation.

Although the original story doesn’t give Lennart many chances to fully display his power, the moment he encounters Sung Jinwoo, he immediately senses the Shadow Army hidden within Jinwoo’s shadow and even roughly gauges its scale.

This extraordinary perception sets Lennart apart, highlighting him as a standout even among S-Rank Hunters.

Lennart Niermann In-Game

In the original story, Lennart Niermann is seen releasing teal-colored magic from both hands to perform ranged attacks. 

This unique combat style was faithfully recreated in the game, where he appears as a Wind-type SSR Mage Hunter. His exclusive weapon, The Weight of Responsibility, reflects his unwavering determination never to retreat in the face of danger.

His damage scales with defense, and most of his skills apply the [Airborne] effect.

Lennart Niermann’s abilities become stronger as his defense increases, so artifacts that boost defense are highly recommended. Most of his skills launch enemies into the air, while his ultimate skill, Kaisers Rache, knocks enemies down on the final strike.

‘Leisurely Moment’ Costume

Three new costumes were added. Lennart Niermann’s ‘Leisurely Moment’ features a relaxed, casual outfit compared to his default look. Sung Jinwoo’s new costume, ‘Deluge of Illusions’, is available through the Hunter Pass. And Alicia Blanche’s ‘Glimmer in the Darkness’ can be obtained as a reward from the A Year with Hunter event.

The Distorted Sanctuary

The Workshop of Brilliant Light remains one of the most challenging battle modes in Solo Leveling:ARISE. In this update, Hard Mode was added to the Distorted Sanctuary, where Yogumunt, the Monarch of Transfiguration, awaits as the boss.

Reward: Condensed Energy

First, the rewards were rebalanced.
Across all difficulty levels of the Spire of Transfiguration, where Deimo appears as the boss, and the Easy and Normal difficulties of The Distorted Sanctuary, the Advance Mana Crystal rewards were removed. Instead, you are now guaranteed to receive a fixed amount of Condensed Energy and Solidified Stone III.

Next, difficulty adjustments have been applied. Across multiple dungeons — from Demons' Castle Lower Floors where Avaricious Vulcan appears, to Spire of Transfiguration — the overall difficulty was reduced.

Additionally, a Weakness Attribute has been added from Demons' Castle Lower Floors (Normal) up to the upper levels of Demons' Castle (Normal), making it easier for Hunters to clear these stages. Overall, the content difficulty has been lowered.

New Boss ‘Chief Higos’ Added to Encore Missions

A new boss, Chief Higos, has been added to Encore Missions, one of the main sources for obtaining artifacts. Chief Higos is weak to Wind and strong against Fire. 

Additionally, Chapters 24 and 25, which were added on May 8 (Thu), are now available in Reverse Mode on both Normal and Hard modes.

Gem Refinement allows you to adjust the options on Tier 6 Gems

Gems are an upgrade system that allows you to strengthen Sung Jinwoo, Hunters, and Shadows, and more.

The maximum gem tier was expanded to Tier 6, with additional gem pages unlocked.
Tier 6 Gems can be crafted through the newly introduced Gem Promotion feature.

Beyond these updates, a wide range of improvements have been made across existing content. These include artifact management and crafting improvements, changes to Guild Bosses, new upper stages and improvements to the Battlefield of Chaos, and the addition of Loot Chests as new rewards for clearing Gates
