Mongil: STAR DIVE
Netmarble’s Monster Taming is a long-time fan favorite, and players have eagerly anticipated its grand return.
That wait is finally over with the reveal of Mongil: STAR DIVE, Netmarble’s new action RPG, now making its global debut at Gamescom 2025.
As the official successor to Monster Taming, Mongil: STAR DIVE was first introduced at G-Star in Korea. Just like the original, Cloud and Berna return as main protagonists, joined by Mina and a host of other familiar characters.
Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game brings its world to life with detailed environments, high quality character models, and dynamic battle effects. Players can look forward to fast paced combat as well as the signature “Monsterling” system, which allows capturing, collecting, and combining monsters.
Netmarble has already been busy bringing the game closer to players. In May, a closed test was held under the name Divers, where selected fans got hands on experience and shared feedback. In June, a new trailer was unveiled at Summer Game Fest. Now, in August, Mongil: STAR DIVE is meeting global players face to face at Gamescom in Cologne.
Gamescom 2025, B2C booth
At this year’s show, Netmarble partnered with Samsung to showcase the game inside Samsung’s booth in the B2C hall. Visitors can try the PC versions. The PC version is available on the Odyssey 3D, Samsung’s glasses free 3D gaming monitor.
For many visitors, this setup has been one of the highlights of the booth. The Odyssey 3D in particular delivers an immersive experience thanks to its eye tracking and screen mapping technology, letting players enjoy cinematic cutscenes and battle animations with incredible depth and clarity.
It is less about quantity and more about quality, and the tailored demo environment makes sure every visitor can feel the impact of Unreal Engine 5 in action.
Many players are enjoying Mongil: STAR DIVE at the B2C booth.
The experience goes beyond the main show floor as well. From August 22 to 23, Samsung is hosting The World of PlayGalaxy at Dock2, giving fans another chance to dive into Mongil: STAR DIVE along with mini games and community events.
Gamescom 2025 runs through August 25, and Netmarble is using the occasion to kick off global pre registration for Mongil :STAR DIVE.
