Netmarble unveils Project Bloomwalker at Gamescom 2025

One of the most exciting parts of visiting a global gaming convention is discovering what’s new. Alongside updates on existing titles and upcoming releases, there are always a few surprises that light up the show floor.

At Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, Netmarble revealed three major titles, and among them was a brand new title shown for the very first time, Project Bloomwalker.

Developed by Netmarble Neo for PC and console, Project Bloomwalker takes the familiar crafting adventure genre in a refreshingly different direction.

While many games in the category lean toward survival and hardcore mechanics, Bloomwalker emphasizes emotion and healing.

The story is set in a world where humans and spirits once lived in harmony, until a meteor strike brought pollution and decay.  Players step into the role of the Bloomwalker, literally “The One Who Walks, Blossoming Flowers," on a journey  to restore life to the land. With every step, blossoms bloom along the path, transforming corruption into beauty.

Gameplay centers around exploring unknown regions, cleansing tainted environments, and gathering resources. These materials can be used to decorate a moving house, craft new items, and prepare for encounters with hostile creatures.

Players won’t be alone: companions like Kettlekid, a spirit with the power to purify, and Oddling, a helpful partner who carries supplies and assists with crafting, will join the adventure. And of course, the iconic moving house travels with you wherever you go, acting as both shelter and friend.

Xbox booth

The first trailer, premiered through Xbox’s official YouTube livestream, showcased this enchanting vision. On the show floor, fans could try a 15 minute demo at the Xbox booth, experiencing exploration, crafting, and combat firsthand.

The dreamlike, warm, and richly animated visual style drew steady crowds, with many players pausing mid-walk to watch the Bloomwalker’s trail of flowers unfold across the screen.

Although the demo was available only on PC and in English, Netmarble confirmed that the full release will support both PC and console, with broader language options. The development team hasn’t announced a release window yet, but they’ve shared their ambition to create a game that leaves a lasting impression.

With its unique mix of crafting, adventure, and emotional storytelling, Project Bloomwalker stood out as one of the most memorable premieres at Gamescom 2025. For those who long for a gentle, healing journey in the middle of a chaotic world, this may well be the title to watch.
