The Spooky Night event is here in THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK!
This event brings a horror-themed experience packed with thrilling, spooky fun for players.

Two fan-favorite fighters were reimagined in the Halloween Style and are now stepping into the game. You’ll also meet the new pets added in this event.

One of the biggest draws of THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK is seeing the legendary fighters from The King of Fighters (KOF) in all kinds of unique, exciting forms.

The Spooky Night event introduces Halloween-style versions of Iori Yagami and Mature.

First up, Iori Yagami is one of the series’ most iconic characters, standing alongside Kyo Kusanagi.
He made his debut in KOF ’95 as Kyo’s rival and remained a fan favorite ever since, appearing in numerous titles over the years.

His popularity is so strong that the game already features two other versions of Iori.

Halloween Style Iori Yagami

The newly added Iori Yagami (Halloween Style) is a LE (Legend) tier character.
His attribute is Moon and his synergy is Corrosion, who target enemies affected by Damage Over Time (DoT) first.

Specifically, his passive skill, “Underworld Guide,” inflicts Burn on enemies, which sets them up for his active skill, “212 Shiki: Kototsuki In” dealing explosive damage to those already burning.
His finisher, “EX  Ura 108 Shiki Ya Sakazuki EX” can also apply Silence, sealing the target’s active and finisher skills.

Visually, he adopts a “Grim Reaper” concept.
With high damage and strong debuffs, he likely feels like a true Grim Reaper to his opponents.

Halloween Style Mature

Next up, we’ve got Mature! In the KOF story, she’s part of the Orochi Clan, a group serving Orochi, led by the eight elite fighters known as the Hakkesshu. 

Mature is one of the top fighters, renowned for her swift knife-hand techniques. She was previously in the game as a UQ-tier fighter, and now she returns with a spooky new twist!

The Halloween Style Mature is a LE (Legend) tier fighter. Her attribute is Sun and her synergy is Deathblow. She targets the enemy with the lowest remaining HP first, making her perfect for finishing off weakened foes. Her passive skill, “Captivating Fox,” restores 10% HP and grants 15 PG whenever she defeats an enemy. 

On top of that, she boosts her attack by 15% when above 40% HP and 30% when above 70% HP, so staying alive keeps her hitting harder! As her skill name hints, she’s got a fox yokai-inspired look, with fox ears and a tail, adding a fun twist to her icy villainess vibe.

You can grab both fighters in the “Halloween Fighter Summon” event running until November 5. Summon with Rubies or Spooky Fighter Tokens, and cumulative summons guarantee a Halloween-style fighter. Just like before, the event opens from Summon Level 3.

To celebrate the event, there are lots of fun in-game events lined up. First up is the Login Event, which anyone can join simply by logging in.

Key rewards include Spooky Fighter Tokens (used for the Halloween Fighter Summon) and the new LE-tier fighter, Mature (Halloween Style)!

Just by logging in, you can snag the Halloween Style Mature!

You’ll get 500 Spooky Fighter Tokens on Day 2 and another 500 on Day 3, for a total of 1,000 Spooky Fighter Tokens. 

Every summon attempt using these tokens counts toward cumulative summons, reach 500 summons and you’ll get Mature (Halloween Style), hit 1,000 summons and Iori Yagami (Halloween Style) is yours! That means, just by hopping into the game, you’re guaranteed 2x Mature and 1x Iori Yagami in their Halloween Style. How’s that for a treat? 

The Spooky Night Event also introduces the new Legend-tier pet “Demonio” and the Legend-tier supporter “G-Mantle”.
There’s a limited-time dungeon called “Pumpkin Parade”, where Jack-o’-Lantern appears as the boss. 

By playing this dungeon, you can earn 100 Spooky Fighter Tokens daily, and seasonal rewards like special frames and profile icons are also up for grabs depending on your ranking.

When taking on the “Pumpkin Parade” dungeon, be sure to include Halloween-style fighters, specific pets (Demonio, Phost, Frankin), and the supporter G-Mantle in your deck to receive stat bonuses.

The mini-game “Ghost Shuffle” tests your speed and accuracy.

Finally, you can also enjoy the exciting new mini-game, “Ghost Shuffle”!
In this mini-game, you’ll need to quickly sort incoming ghosts and pumpkins left or right within a time limit.
