The Original Prehistoric Vibes Are Back! StoneAge: Idle Adventure Drops on March 3.

Netmarble’s latest mobile idle RPG, StoneAge: Idle Adventure, has officially launched. For many players, the title brings back fond memories of the original StoneAge. First released in 1999, the beloved franchise captured the hearts of over 200 million players worldwide. Now it returns, reimagined for today’s gaming landscape.
At its core, StoneAge is built on a compelling premise: an advanced human civilization is wiped out by the Four Spirits, sending the world back to the Stone Age. Within this imaginative setting, players have long enjoyed capturing and raising hundreds of prehistoric creatures. StoneAge: Idle Adventure transforms that classic charm into an easy-to-jump-into idle RPG experience.
To celebrate its official launch, here’s a closer look at what makes the game stand out.
Capture, Raise, and Ride Your Pets
One of the key elements StoneAge: Idle Adventure inherits from the original is the ability to 'Capture' and ‘Raise' diverse pets inspired by dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. The official brand site currently showcases some of the creatures you'll encounter: the crimson dinosaur 'Mogaros,' the saber-toothed 'Veldor,' the dragon-inspired 'Doravis,' and the mammoth-like 'Icemanmo,' among others.

The game features six trainers alongside dozens of pet species
Alongside these pets, the game introduces human characters called 'Trainers.' As an Adventurer, you'll join six trainers, including Woody, a boy from Shamgir Village, on a quest to re-seal away the awakened Golros.
Throughout this journey, you'll capture and raise various pets to strengthen your forces. True to the mobile idle RPG genre, Battles unfold automatically as your trainers and pets fight enemies on the field. When you meet certain conditions, you can challenge bosses, defeat them to advance to the next stage
The iconic 'Pet riding' system that defines StoneAge makes its return as well, all six trainers can mount their pets during combat.
Epic in Scale,
Deep in Strategy

You can deploy up to 24 units, trainers and pets combined, in a single lineup.
The adventure awaiting you in StoneAge: Idle Adventure boasts a scale rarely seen in idle RPGs. In most idle RPGs, a deck typically holds at most around 10 characters.
However, in StoneAge: Idle Adventure, you can deploy up to 24 units in a single deck, including 6 trainers and 18 pets. With such a large-scale formation, battles on the field unfold with an intensity and spectacle that truly resemble a full-scale battlefield.
With up to 24 units in a single deck, lineup strategies become even more dynamic and diverse. At launch, dozens of pet species are available, each featuring unique elements, roles, and skills. This allows you to build lineups that generate powerful synergies or strategically offset one another’s strengths and weaknesses, giving you greater flexibility in how you approach every battle.

The formation system is also uniquely designed,
adding a distinct layer of strategic depth.
The formation system is another standout feature that sets the game apart. The full deployment grid is a 6×6 board, totaling 36 slots, within which there are six 2×2 square platforms.
Players position their characters on these 2×2 platforms, choosing which trainers and pets to pair together on each one.
By rearranging the platforms themselves, you can reshape your entire formation on the fly. From platform positioning to Trainer–Pet combinations, the sheer number of possible lineup configurations highlights the game’s remarkable strategic depth.
Capture Opportunities for Everyone
To build a large-scale deck, just as the game’s slogan suggests, you’ll need to own a wide variety of pets. That’s why StoneAge: Idle Adventure introduces a player-friendly pet collection system.
As you progress through your adventure, you’ll complete various quests, and their clear rewards include Capture Tickets that allow you to obtain even the game’s highest-rank pets. With consistent play, you’ll soon find yourself having collected and raised an impressive number of pets before you know it.

Every Pet Can Reach the Highest Rank!
The more time you spend together, the more attached you naturally become to certain pets. That’s why StoneAge: Idle Adventure features a Growth system that lets you continue your adventure alongside the companions you’ve grown fond of.
Even pets that begin at a lower Rank can be raised to the highest tier through consistent training and care. Once promoted, they gain enhanced stats, and their appearance transforms into a more dazzling and powerful form to match their growth.
Competition & Cooperation in Stone Age Society

'StoneAge: Idle Adventure' offers diverse cooperative and competitive Game Modes
'StoneAge: Idle Adventure' features content for both cooperation and competition with other Adventurers. The most accessible is the 'Fish Farm.' This individual PvP mode lets you raid other Adventurers' farms in real-time to steal their harvest, or defend your own farm from invaders. In Stone Age society, strength means survival! Use your well-trained trainers and pets to protect what's yours, and when the moment's right, boldly target others' resources for strategic gain.

A 'Clan' village

Team up to take down massive, powerful Mecha Pets!
Beyond that, there's Sky Tower, a competitive mode to determine the server's strongest, and the Arena, where Clans (the game's guild system) compete.
On the cooperative side, 'Mecha Pet Hunt' has Clan Members joining forces to hunt down gigantic mechanical creatures called 'Mecha Pets.' You can also form alliances, individually or as a Clan, to Challenge top rankers or powerful Clans, offering plenty of opportunities for both cooperation and competition.
