MARVEL's first open-world MMORPG on mobile! MARVEL Future Revolution has won three medals in the 2021 Game of the Year awards selected by Google Play and Apple App Store. Channel Netmarble met with Joe Lee, production director of MARVEL Future Revolution, to hear his acceptance of the winnings. We also asked for some clues about the future direction of MARVEL Future Revolution.

# Hello! Would you please introduce yourself briefly?

Joe Lee (hereinafter referred to as 'Joe'): Hello! I'm Joe Lee, the director of MARVEL Future Revolution. I've been doing chores for MFR. Nice to meet you!

# First of all, congratulations! MARVEL Future Revolution has won three awards in the Game of the Year Awards selected by the two major markets. You won Google Play's Best Competitive, Best Tablet, and Apple App Store Best of 2021 iPad Game of the Year. I'd like to hear how you feel.

Joe: MARVEL  Future Revolution is a game that many people have put so much effort into preparing and releasing together for a long time. As a game, we tried to develop the quality that challenges the limitations of mobile. Through winning these awards, it feels like the game has been recognized as a creation suitable for the big name that is Marvel, on par with their movies or comics!

#  What do you think was the most significant point of winning the award? The story, artwork, effect, and voice actor are all high-quality, but can you pick the most significant part of MARVEL Future Revolution?

Joe: I know this answer might go a different way to the purpose of the question, but indeed I must say that what I think mattered was the overall quality. Our game did not compromise on the quality of all the contact points with users, from fundamental gameplay to graphics, story, music, and voice actor recording.

# What's the internal team's reaction to the award-winning? I'm sure everyone was thrilled.

Joe: Actually, we've been so busy every day with live services that we forgot that it's the year-end awards ceremony season. Everyone was blown away because they were unexpected awards. I'm going to accept it as a crack of the whip to return the love to users with better content and services so that we can take pride in the awards we received. :)

# I think users will be interested in MARVEL Future Revolution in the future. Are you preparing any other update or event following the last massive update, "Eternals"?

Joe: Another Spider-Man movie is about to be released this December. There will be something to celebrate the movie event.

# If you have any major news for the end of the year plan and the first half of next year, could you give us a hint for the Channel Netmarble readers?

Joe: I'll tell you that we're working hard on a lot of surprises in regards to that.

# There is a desperate waiting of users for the Thor-Loki brothers. Will there be a chance to play the heroes and villains from MARVEL Future Revolution stories like Thor and Loki?

Joe: I can't answer you about that right now, but believe me. We're always watching what players want!

# As always, every update and event seems to be done in close collaboration with Marvel. MARVEL Future Revolution's original worldview, which blends with Marvel's world, attracts fans' attention. How does the partnership with Marvel proceed to plan and produce MFR's original content?

Joe: To compare MARVEL Future Revolution to food, Marvel brings their ingredients, and we, the MFR team, are the chefs. Marvel supplies a wide variety of the best ingredients to make good dishes. Netmarble and Marvel agree on how the dishes are to be made. Like "Let's make MFR a pizza." Marvel believes in our creativity about how to cook the plate and how we bring our creation.

# We are serving the game as a global one-builder. Is there anything you pay special attention to providing optimal service to users worldwide with various backgrounds and cultures?

Joe: I paid a lot of attention to the technical aspect. There is one thing that we are not advertising much - MFR is the first global one-build open world action RPG in the world. Players from all over the world are playing the game on the single app. We put a lot of effort into optimizing the Super Heroes' over-the-top actions so that players around the globe can play them stably together in real-time.

In addition, the time zones in the game, such as content start time or event renewal time, are set differently for each region. Players from various areas can play in their live-time. We chose to do things this way to make MFR a 'great game' from the player’s perspective.

# I'm sure you've heard this question so many times, but I can't help but ask. What is your favorite Super Hero and costume?

Joe: Captain America. Captain America is the leader. He might not have all the bells and whistles when it comes to superhero abilities but that does not stop him from getting down and dirty to fullfil his Super Hero duties. I try to do the same in my real life. As part of our excellent and talented MARVEL Future Revolution team, I always need to get down and dirty to do my job.

My favorite costume is the Hydra Empire version. We have prepared several versions of the original costumes. I am more attached to the Hydra Empire because it is one of the early designs. Furthermore, this costume expressed a different side of heroes wearing a Hydra theme with a feeling full of villainy.

# MARVEL Future Revolution wrapped up 2021 by winning three market awards. Would you please say a word about the determination, road map, and direction of MARVEL Future Revolution in 2022?

Joe: We are glad we got to launch it in 2021 and win many meaningful awards, but we still have a long way to go.

We plan to make 2022 the first year fortifying our position as a global all time favorite game. Plans are being prepared to improve the gameplay to make it more fun and exciting. The key is to satisfy more diverse users. It is a game where Marvel fans and gamers can have genuine fun and feel a sense of accomplishment. Our efforts will not stop.

Joe: Since its launch, so many people have played MARVEL Future Revolution. Thank you to everyone! We will continue to be a game that can be loved more in the future. Please stay tuned for MFR's future moves!
