NETMARBLE EARNS “A” RATING IN LATEST ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL, AND GOVERNANCE (ESG) EVALUATION BY MSCI
LOS ANGELES – JULY 22, 2022 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality mobile games, is pleased to announce that it has received an “A” in the MSCI ESG Ratings assessment.
MSCI, or Morgan Stanley Capital International, is a leading provider of critical decision support tools and services for the global investment community. It measures, among other things, a company’s resilience to long-term, industry material environmental, social and governance (ESG) risks.
In previous evaluations, Netmarble has been labeled a “BB” rating in 2020, and later achieved a higher “BBB” rating in 2021. Reaching the first half of this year, the company has continued to pursue its ESG vision, “We Entertain, Support, and Grow together” by moving up a notch to receive an “A” rating.
Netmarble is implementing various activities in the effort to maintain a sustainable management around ESG. Several examples include the utilization of certified eco-friendly resources for the company’s new headquarters in Seoul, ‘G-Tower’ providing quality social contribution activities, and transparent and sound governance structure.
Additionally, the ESG Management Council was established in December 2021 to spearhead sustainable ESG management. As a result of this ESG report, Netmarble is planning to share the sustainable management activities based on these shared goals, as well as implement further plans with its stakeholders.
While the next ESG report will be revealed later this year, the detailed information on the ESG activities can be found via Netmarble’s official webpage (http://company.netmarble.com/en/invest/sustainability).
