LOS ANGELES, CA – August 29, 2023 – Netmarble, a leading developer and publisher of high-quality mobile games, released new content for its free-to-play PC Action MOBA game  PARAGON: THE OVERPRIME. This game update adds a returning hero Riktor from Epic Games’ Paragon, hero mastery system, new passives, as well as various skins. This update also prepares Paragon: The Overprime for the PlayStation 5 beta, which is fast approaching!

Riktor is a melee support hero, who is a highly requested melee character by fans, and a member of the NSS - a self-proclaimed universal anti-terrorist organization that’s currently the most powerful in the galaxy. Born and raised in the Natav Empire, he was an honorable police officer who lost part of his body in an unfortunate accident, and tried to end his life in a vengeful blaze of glory. However, the NSS convinced him to become a cyborg, later joining the organization.

Riktor’s skills include:

• Whip (Basic Attack) - Swing a chain whip to deal Physical Damage to enemies.
• Deadly Chain Whip - Deal damage to all enemies along the target line by throwing a chain whip.
• Electro Shock - A chain whip is charged with electricity for 1 second to enhance the Basic Attack. This also deals damage upon the next successful Basic Attack on an enemy, applying Silence and Slowing.
• Electro Storm - Discharges an electric current and deals Magical Damage to nearby enemies.
• Blazing Chain Whip (Ultimate) - Extends a chain whip forward that deals Magical Damage to the enemies within range, applying Stun. When the Stun ends, it deals Bonus Magical Damage.

Also new to this update is the Hero Mastery system. This system has been added to the Hero menu, which displays skill levels for each Hero. As players continue to use a hero, experience is gained that will increase the Mastery Level. Hero’s backstory unlocks and Master Skin rewards will become available as this level increases.

New passive skills for the heroes Rampage and Kallari have also been added. Rampage’s new passive gives him passive regeneration while in the jungle, while Killari can jump up to 2 more times while in mid-air. More skills will be added to further emphasize character roles in the future, so stay tuned!

Other updates to hero balance include a readjustment to the Karma system for a more dynamic battle experience, as well as a rebalance for Rampage, Muriel and more. The latest tutorial also offers a more dynamic experience for newbies through the Karma system and item revamp content.

This update also features a variety of Summer themed skins, available at the store for a limited time through the end of September. These skins include Hero grade skin ‘Brilliant Vacation Sparrow’ for Sparrow, Commander of the Sea for Belica, Rare grade Protector of the Sea for Murdock, Mystic Ocean for Shinibi, and Mashark for Maco.

The PlayStation 5 beta for Paragon: The Overprime will be available from September 13-25 and marks the first time the game is available on a console platform. Interested players can wishlist the game and get ready for the test to begin in September.

PARAGON: THE OVERPRIME is a team-based TPS Action MOBA that anyone can play for free on PC. Players are engaged in 5v5 play while working with teammates to conquer the Prime battlefield. The game celebrates strategic actions and fast-paced battles by two teams aiming to eliminate the opponents' territories.
