NETMARBLE ANNOUNCES FINANCIAL EARNINGS FOR SECOND QUARTER OF 2024

AUGUST 8, 2024 – Netmarble Corp, renowned mobile game developer and publisher, has announced its earnings for the second quarter of 2024. 

Netmarble achieved its highest quarterly revenue to-date – reporting globally $579.75 million in revenue during Q2, with $111.97 million in EBITDA. The company recorded an operating profit of $82.44 million and net profit of $120.30 million this quarter.

“Netmarble’s positive revenue marks a successful turnaround in the first half of the year, attributed to the strong performance of new titles, including Solo Leveling: ARISE in the global market and Raven 2 in Korea, as well as the company’s continuous efforts to streamline costs,” said Young-sig Kwon, CEO of Netmarble. “To sustain the momentum achieved during the first half of the year, Netmarble aims to leverage its previous success in the idle genre with the launch of The Seven Deadly Sins: IDLE Adventure in the second half of 2024, along with other highly anticipated titles.” 

Upcoming game titles scheduled for the second half of 2024 include The Seven Deadly Sins: IDLE Adventure, King Arthur: Legends Rise, RF ONLINE NEXT (in Korea), and DEMIS RE:BORN.

Netmarble’s Q2 2024 financial results include:
 

  • Cumulatively for 2024, Netmarble earned $1.01 billion in sales and $143.64 million in EBITDA, reporting an operating profit of $85.18 million and a net profit of $112.98 million.
  • North America led revenues (40%) with diversification across other key territories as follows: Korea (24%), Europe (13%), Southeast Asia (10%), and Japan (6%), and other regions (7%).
  • Netmarble’s portfolio showed diversification across various genres, including RPG (45%), Casual Games (34%), MMORPG (15%), and other genres (6%).
  • Top performing titles for the second quarter included: Solo Leveling: ARISE (20%), Marvel Contest of Champions (9%), Jackpot World (7%), Lotsa Slots (6%), Cash Frenzy (6%), Arthdal Chronicles: Three Factions (5%), The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross (4%), and Raven 2 (4%).
