MAY 8, 2025 – Netmarble Corp, renowned game developer and publisher, today announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2025. The company reported $429.38 million in global revenue and $56.16 in EBITDA. The operating profit and the net profit were reported at $34.21 million and $55.23 million, respectively.
“Following the successful launch of RF ONLINE NEXT on March 20, which reached the number one spot on mobile in Korea, we remain fully committed to leveraging our capabilities each quarter to ensure that our upcoming titles achieve strong, meaningful results in global markets” said Byung-gyu Kim, CEO of Netmarble.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is scheduled to launch on May 21 across a wide range of territories in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East. The game title will be available on all mobile platforms, as well as on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Windows Launcher. Also arriving in the second quarter are Seven Knights Re:BIRTH and The King of Fighters AFK. Five additional titles are planned for release in the second half of the year, including The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin, MONGIL: STAR DIVE, Project SOL, and more.
Netmarble’s Q1 2025 financial results include:
- North America led revenues (46%), with diversification across other key territories: Korea (18%), Europe (14%), Southeast Asia (10%), and Japan (6%), and other regions (6%).
- Netmarble’s portfolio showed genre diversification across Casual Games (42%), RPGs (36%), MMORPGs (14%), and other genres (8%).
- Top performing titles for the first quarter 2025 included: Marvel Contest of Champions (9%), Solo Leveling:ARISE (8%), Jackpot World (8%), Lotsa Slots (8%), Cash Frenzy (8%), The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross (5%), Raven2 (5%), and RF ONLINE NEXT (3%).
Netmarble achieved an increase in EBITDA as a result of reduced expenses such as commission fees, despite a slight decline in Q1 revenue due to seasonal factors affecting the company’s subsidiaries. Net profit also grew significantly QoQ, as intangible asset impairment costs have been absent from the previous quarter.
The notable success of RF ONLINE NEXT, launched in Korea during the first quarter, drove revenue growth, along with Solo Leveling:ARISE, which saw an increase in daily active users (DAU) following major updates implemented at the end of 2024.
