ANGEL, A FEARSOME FIGHTER FROM NESTS, JOINS THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK

JULY 24, 2026 - Netmarble, a renowned developer and publisher of high-quality games, has released an in-game update for its AFK RPG THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK that introduces a new fighter carrying [Deathblow] synergy and a variety of in-game events.&nbsp;

This update adds the new Legendary fighter Angel, a modified human created by the secret society called NESTS. Though she fights casually, her &ldquo;Unchain&rdquo; combo attacks make her a fearsome melee fighter. Players can experience her in-game signature skills, Blue Monday Counter EX and Finish Neck Cutter. Angel&rsquo;s arrival event and the [Deathblow] Synergy Pick-Up event are now underway through August 5 that give players the opportunity to obtain Angel and fighters with [Deathblow] synergy, respectively.

Other in-game events that are now available include the Surf Holiday event, which runs from July 30 to August 12 and introduces the Legendary pets Blanco and Hulark. From July 27 to July 31, players can also take part in Lucky Elpy for a chance at the Legendary Supporter Shroom.&nbsp;

Beyond the new fighter and events, this update further expands the game&rsquo;s content. Stages have been raised up to stage 57,600, while Power-Up Dungeons now reach further limits, with Gold Rush Dungeon and Void Sanctuary Dungeon extended up to 2,100 and City of Vengeance Dungeon and Paradox Research Lab Dungeon extended up to 700. The Arcade Challenge has also been expanded up to region 8. In addition, growth content has been extended, with Influence reaching up to 260, Supporter Center up to 1,700, and Pet Hotel up to 2,200.&nbsp;
